"I love Robert's photographs because they are simply beautiful, honest, fun and full of life. When I've had a down day, all I have to do is visit his Photostream, and I'm smiling. He shares his heart through this work that he so freely offers for our enjoyment with no ego, attitude or any of the stuff that doesn't belong in photography. Thank you Robert for the joy of sharing your precious, beloved animals and letting us know a bit about each one merely by showing us their images."

"Robert has a way with a camera just like he has a way with animals and always has had.
You can tell looking at his pictures he is a very sensitive and caring young man.
I'm very proud of him but that's nothing new.
He is my son and I'm very glad he is."

"My day isn't complete without checking on Robert's feline/canine family down in Natchez. And it is not only because I am in love with one of his cats (Chewie), although it is an important reason. I live in a big city and thanks to Robert's wonderful photos I can see the most beautiful woods, meadow and a pond near his house. His photos, taken in changing light and seasons, allow me to take a walk in the woods, spy a spider (yay!), smell wildflowers...

Robert is a great observer of animals (his pets or wild critters roaming the hood) - every photo is a little vignette of their life. Especially that he is very generous and willing to tell fascinating stories behind individual animals, pictures, events... He loves his critters and they love him back. And I will always like animal people (even if they smoke, heheee)

Interestingly, Robert does not seem to be concerned with a number of visitors, comments and all that flickr jazz. He posts really beautiful photos, but remains a non-commercial artist in heart (I think). I totally respect that even though I would love more people to see his pictures. I think they would make them very happy...

Finally, yes - Robert happens to own the most beautiful cat on flickr. My day is not complete without staring at Chewie's photo for at least 15 minutes!"

    nyc dreamer says:

"Through his “in the moment photography” Robert brings to life the daily activities of a group of animals, insects, and birds along a small patch of the Mississippi delta. Robert definitely succeeds in telling the story of each and every creature he photographs; their interests, their joys, their bravery, their silliness, and, on occasion, their sadness, although, in Robert’s world, sadness appears to be a rare experience. And we, the viewers, see it, understand it, and feel it all. But most importantly, Robert’s photographs reflect his love and compassion for all the creatures in his world. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – thank you for sharing this little part of Mississippi with us. Bravo Robert!"
