Years ago, I found it difficult to keep a roof over my head by playing guitar and writing music, so I detoured into the world of publishing and web design. I spent much of my spare time on the trails in the unspoiled areas of California, and wanting to bring some of the beauty I saw back home, I began photographing my journeys.

At first, I was frustrated when I looked at my photographs and they didn't convey the beauty that I saw through the lens. Not enjoying said frustration, I began learning about shutter speeds, aperture, color, composition, light and other subjects that greatly improved the quality of my images.

I currently live in the San Francisco Bay area with my wife, where I spend much of my time exploring and photographing beautiful places with my camera as well as lots of sunscreen and a sturdy pair of hiking shoes.
