Paul Hillier is a freelance photographer, native to Montreal (though he never learned
French). Paul has since lived in Nova Scotia, Toronto, Nagano, Osaka and now finds himself back in Toronto again. After Graduating in 2000 from Sheridan College, Paul sharpened his eyes working as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator before moving to Japan where he focused his photography skills.

Since then, Paul’s photography has been seen in Maclean’s Magazine, Metropolis Magazine, Kansai Time Out, Japanzine, Whore! Magazine, the “R” rated show and
has been featured in Flickr’s “explore” 33 times and counting. Paul is fascinated with all aspects of photography whether it’s finding the moment between the mundane and the everyday where the fantastic lives, or building a photo shoot piece by piece to make something special.

Even when not taking photos, Paul can still be found camera in hand. He loves to
explore planet Earth. His travels have taken him from the temples of Ankor Wat, to the top of active volcanoes in Japan and in to the roasting deserts of the UAE. And though he thinks that is he can now speak Japanese, he still plans one day to learn French.
