Testimonials"I'm not an artist, nor am I any great judge of what is or what isn't a great photo. What I do know is I find Rick's images inimitable and captivating. In addition to this - I've found Rick to be an invaluable source of knowledge on all aspects of photography and a generous person with his time and a preparedness to counsel the technically challenged. Cheers Rick!" "Rick Soloway, what esle could one say about him. He sits on the right side of the Pope, great artist, camera collector and flipper. He has one of those unique ability to make scene "talk to you". He loves his to find that photographic treasure whether it be a camera, photo or related item. His camera poster are outstanding and if you do not have one you need to buy it now-while its cheap. "Is good or not"-really Rick is caring person with alot of talent and good friend too." "i have just met rick on flickr and it became obvious we share some tastes, like design and bakelite cameras and streamlining... his photography is superb and speaks for itself. i hope we will share lots of info and ideas on our subjects! a real pro." "This is a place I come to get raw energy to be inspired and creative. I like the bold colors and subjects of his illustrations and the way he combines symbols, makes use of contrast and effective imagery to create a photograph that will stop you in your tracks to analize it. That is a great skill!" "During one of my many flickr surfing expeditions I felt like Columbus when I discovered Rick's work! I am a fond lover of Rick's Frankenfoto set and first thought...It would make a wonderful card collector set! My second thought....How I would love to work with Rick and create a Frankepuddin set! Your work is original Rick...your words articulate...and your true passion for people shines through the way you capture the general public in your travels! Puddincups (just me always)" "Rick sees things, that others don't see and wouldn't notice. His eyes and camera capture images that I take for granted. His inventiveness in creating new images are super! His Black and Whites are fantastic! His color photo's look great! His women photos are hot! He's got what it takes. I envy his talent. Saint Robert" "What I like most about Ricks work is the way my eye feels travelling around his images. One moment I am looking at concrete, the next moment, a beautiful woman. He has a diverse and broad scope-His balck and white work is lovely-Rick is a real gem to the flickr community- Gail Orenstein" |
