Hello, thanks for taking the time to view my profile. My name is Richard Mackney, and I post about iPhone, iPhoneography, Tech, Mobile, Caravans, Social Media and Beer
Although I use a DSLR I am enjoying iPhoneography as an instant creative outlet and share my photos as instantly as possible to give a true feeling of the moment. I also attempt to publish the day's events to my Photoblog and Scrapbook in the same day (often straight from the iPhone).
I've been active on Flickr since early 2007 and enjoy commenting on other users photos. I started sharing on Twitter in 2008 and flickr took a back seat for a while when I was concentrating on sending live pictures to Twitpic.
Now I want to dedicate more time to Flickr and re-grow the old community of photographers on the same wavelength as me :)
I gave my old account to my brother for use on Mackney Photography (a studio in Derby, UK) so I've been rebuilding this account since 2009. If you remembered me with the screen name 'Mackney' please re-connect :)

Since then our online photographic paths keep crossing, so we get to see his unique take on familiar local events and places. I was initially wowed by Richard's HDR photographs of Devon with amazing compositions and colours. I don't know how he manages to amass so many fab holiday photos (in between all the beery ones!) but they are always stunning.
I must point out that is Mr Mackney's fault that I have so many photography apps on my iPhone as he is always the first to try out something new and he makes them look so interesting that I have to download them too.
