I am a History Teacher and before that earned a BA in Communication/Broadcasting. I was really interested in film and video production, I wanted to be a George Lucas or a Steven Spielberg. I don't know what happened exactly with that passion. It just kind of faded. Maybe it is the business of Hollywood. I wanted to give something back, I always liked teaching things, History fascinates me, so I became a teacher. It is a lot of fun, and wow, is it challenging.

Photography is like my reawakening back to the kind of film and video stuff I used to do. Only, I have discovered I enjoy the fact that you can capture a story in a single image rather than having to worry about putting together 60-90+ minute productions. I'm 33 now, not old by any stretch of the imagination, but older, appreciating things I never paid attention to.

I still love movies, I'm a big Seattle Seahawks fan, my wife and I try to go to a few games every year. I love fantasy football, I run about four leagues with family and friends, it's a great time. I play disc golf, the best game nobody knows. I have just become the hugest waterfall fan in the last year and a half. It's my goal to capture as many of them as I can in the Pacific Northwest. I love cities, probably dating back to all the time I spent growing up and visiting gorgeous Seattle. I am fascinated with city skylines and skyscrapers.

My wife and I were married in Seattle, we met at Washington State University (Go Cougs!), where I went to both undergraduate and graduate school. She is the greatest. She puts up with me. And she tells me when I've captured enough images of the same thing. Humor is a huge part of our lives. I come from a really funny family, comedy is sort of a handed down thing.
