I was born in Madeira in 1977 and grew up in the Portuguese mainland where I presently live for most of the year, in Almada, a small town across the river Tagus from Lisbon. I spend my time divided between my Physics studies at the University of Lisbon and working in the Azores or Portuguese continental coast doing seabird census for the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds. In the free time I dedicate myself to birdwatching and photography using the DigiScoping method. I also practice Chinese Martial Arts. I have no interest what so ever in captive animals and my pictures depict only free animals.
