Over 40. In reasonable shape.
My first camera was a Halina 110mm cartridge non-adjustable. Any photos dated pre-1982 will have been taken with that. Between '82 and 2003 everything was shot with a Zenith 11. From 2003 until April 2008 a Canon Ixus V3 did all the work until the acquisition of an HP Photosmart M425.
In August 2010 I purchased my first DSLR, a Canon EOS1000D.
I wouldn't describe myself as a photographer, more a person who takes pictures. Have to say that digital cameras and PCs are a Godsend for the idle.
