ri-tratta | portraits from human dignity's photostream |
Nota:
LE FOTOGRAFIE QUI PUBBLICATE **NON** RAPPRESENTANO L'ESITO FINALE DEL PROGETTO DI RICERCA.
The ri-tratta research project originates from a new, strong cooperation between the scientific ethnoanthropological approach and the photographic-artistic one.
the project has multiple objectives, the most important of which is promoting a different and careful form of reconnaissance of the practices through which we implement a lot of racist and racializing aptitudes, and consequent forms of discriminations.
the social aim is to try to give a new contribution form to make more aware, (self)reflecting in a new way, about the topic of the research: our participation
in the racist practices.
in order to do this, the researchers have decided to adopt a personalizing strategy of investigation, realized through a double path: iconographical and narrative. Therefore, the form of the research and the communication form of its results come from this ambition, and are composed by two strong moments: dialogue and photograph.
differently to the other project about this topic and oriented to similar aims, ri-tratta tries to avoid questionnaires, or theoretical and abstract forms of speculation and elaboration. to the contrary, adopting an hybrid approach, it tries to transform the object of a narration in a talking and a visual subject, including the interviewees at the double level of icons of their own human situation and co-author of the text.
"ri-tratta" is sponsored by University of Cagliari.
