I've been around cameras since tagging along to motorcycle enduros with some friends, back when I was a teenager in the'70s. When I saw the photos Richard made with his Hasselblad and darkroom, I was hooked.

Got my first camera, Nikon FM, in 1979 with my first income tax return. Since then, I've owned other Nikons, but have had Canon as my primary camera for years now. I have two 20D bodies and several lenses. Actually, I have far more gear than I use on a regular basis. Talk about a money pit... having photography as a hobby.

I've shot some for professional potter and teacher Bill van Gilder ( vangilderpottery.com/ ) for his column in Clay Times magazine ( www.claytimes.com/ ). I've had images printed in a few other publications, but since June 2005, I have been working on a project on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, USA. It's a personal project and I shoot photos for the Tomb Sentinels.

    Robert the Noid says:

"I have seen the work of many photographers who have made Arlington National Cemetery and The Old Guard their subject, but I have never seen anyone who was able to catch the spirit and the feeling embodied in that place or those men. I am in awe at the work he has done."
