Facts about revlimit:

1: I sometimes shoot toys.
2: I shoot Nikon (tough-ass D300, trusty S10, and beloved D40).
3: I'm not addicted to shooting Polaroids. At all. Don't look in my fridge.
4: Ok, so there are times when I *don't* shoot toys. I'm usually playing with them at these times.
5: I shoot sunsets. Cause we have them here in the Great Southwest and they're pretty damn hard to take a bad photo of. Same with the moon.
6: Did I mention the toys?
7: I love vintage manual lenses, especially Vivitar. Old Nikkors are ok too. Autofocus is over rated and zooms suck.
8: I drive a very small car.
9: List got too long. Time to shoot more toys.

"How did it take me this long to write a testimonial about Adam?... Bah.

Adam is a fine, fine photographer, a dear friend, and a good man. His shots have consistent humour, warmth and skill. He is as a supportive and inspriational individual as you will find on Flickr, and I am both personally & artistically all the richer for having found him. Everything he takes has the stamp of his personality on it, never more than when he is shooting his beloved.

In case you hadn't figured it out, Adam rocks ten kinds of roll."

"Rev is my #1 inspiration for taking toy pics. Hasbro or Takara or Kaiyodo should hire him. The NM board of tourism should hire him as well."

"Nobody else I know can take a Transformer or an Ugly Doll and make them look SO GOOD while also looking like SO MUCH FUN! He is apparently fearless in his display of them in public whether on sushi or in a theatre, and for that - and for his mad skills - I dub him awesome."

    JKönig says:

"i'm a new convert to the cult of adam, but i'm already a devoted fan, and here's why. because he's funny. because he's smart. because he's ebullient. because he's joyous. because he's in love with his wife. because he's got skills with a camera and he knows how to process. because he's obsessed with toys. because he loves uglydolls the way they deserve to be loved.

but mostly, because he sees the world around him. and i mean SEES it. when he sees something spectacular, he stops whatever he's doing, and does whatever he can to get the shot, savor the moment, live the life. and this, to me, is the true sign of an artist. he may beg off the praise, but i know a good soul when i see one. and adam? whorishly good soul."

"The first thing you notice about Revlimiter's photos are the toys. Yep, this is a man who loves his Transformers and isn't at all afraid to let his 'inner child' out and play.
So yeah, he's a geek and it would be pretty easy to dismiss his work as geek photography but if you dig deeper and look further into his photostream you see something else; an emerging artist, a man who is coming along in leaps and bounds with his skills in photography, a man who loves nature and a man who deeply loves his missus.
Rev is a photog to watch and a bloody nice bloke too.
    Plus, y'know, Transformers!"

    Driving in Heels says:

"So, I think this guy is pretty great, otherwise I wouldn't have married him.

A year ago, Adam would mock me about my obsessive picturing and Flickring. "Oh, FLICKR," he would say. "You've got all this server space and you waste time with Flickr?"

And then he got a digital camera. And I urged him to get his own account.

At first, he was reluctant to post any shots, but then as he started playing more and more with his new Nikon, he wanted to show off his progress, and then he found a group that was dedicated to taking pictures of TRANSFORMERS! and the rest is history.

In less than six months, Adam has graduating from occasionally borrowing my old Olympus point and shoot to owning a Nikon D40. If that isn't dedication to a newfound pursuit -- or a manifestation of a deeper mental illness -- I don't know what is.

I'm proud of the shots he's taken. He's constantly pushing me to be a better photographer, and in turn, he listens to my smart-ass photo editing suggestions.

Adam's a heck of a guy and turning into quite the shooter. Here's to you, rdotlimit."
