I love all 1950's/1960's & some 1970's design, furniture, homewares, fabrics, houses, architecture.....put it this way I'm obsessed. I'm constantly looking for things that are pleasing to the eye, to add to my retro abode. I worked as a ticketwriter for a a few major retail stores in Melbourne (David Jones, Georges, Freedom, Harvey Norman) & also worked for IKEA for a number of years in the "Deco" department. I also worked with the IKEA establishment team that set up stores around the world. I helped set up the IKEA store in Mallorca, Spain before our first child came along in 1993. My trade in handwriting has been superseeded by the computer, so I'm putting my skills into designing , making & handpainting *mid-century inspired* ceramics. I am now studying Graphic Design. Returning to study after years of raising children. After doing it all by hand all those years ago, i'm learning the tool - the computer!
