A bit about me:

I've played with photography off and on throughout my life, taking it more seriously only about 18 months ago. I thought I'd have a hard time giving up my traditional SLR, but a trip to Great Britain and over 15 rolls of film with no images on them was my wake up call to going digital.

I love my Nikon D40x, but admittedly it's been a challenge learning all its bells and whistles. I purchased a Tamron 70-300 mm lens thinking I'd use it now and then for different subjects but have fallen in love with it and use it pretty exclusively.

I can't say I have one subject matter I prefer to photograph over another. Lately I've been seeking and exploring different parts of my city, San Diego. We have lots of history, culture, amazing architecture and diverse neighborhoods.

It's fun looking at the world differently and striving for that "Perfect Capture".

I hope you enjoy what you see!

"Rita, a/k/a Momeeoh, has a very good eye. I have not seen her real eyes, not yet, but I'm talking about her photographer's eye. Her pictures have a wonderful sense of color, composition and whimsy and they are getting better and better. I always look forward to her amazing images. I can only imagine how they must look on a wall, properly framed and lit. And she has very good taste too! (She likes my work--he says immodestly!) Keep snapping Rita, you are inspiration for me too :-) And thanks for all the nice words for me and for everyone who's work you have taken the time and trouble to comment on! Rock on!!!"

"It has been my pleasure to watch Rita master her camera and let her artistic soul free. She has taken photos in the past, but she is a painter in her heart. At last she is able to merge the two and much of her work is stunning. She is much more creative and imaginative than I am, so even though we go out together to take pictures, we come away with very different views of what we see and what we consider "photgraphable." It has been a revelation to see what she picks up that I totally miss. Check out her stream and you'll see some amazing art!"
