I´m a newspaper journalist working living and working in Duesseldorf, Germany. Photography only is a pasttime for me (I earn my living with words, not with pictures.)

I take pictures since I´m 12 years old. I started with a Canon FTb and three lenses. After I broke the body (dropped it) I switched to Nikon (FM). In the first years I only did black and white and developed everything by myself. This is a secure way of getting mad. Since I was dissapointed by the poor quality of my B/W prints I stopped taking pictures at 20. Fife years later I re-discovered photography - and fortunatly professional labs. I bought an FE and and FE2 as well as severeal lenses.

In 2003 by chance I stumbled across Leica. I bought a used M6TTL with one lens (Elmar-M 50/2.8). At first, I thought buying this camera was a blunder. But after several month I noticed that my pictures began to change (to the better, I hopt).

After a while I sold all my SLR equipment and became a rangefinger addict. Right now next to my M6 TTL I own a M7 and since December 2008 a digital M8. I have five different lenses (21Asph, Cron 35 Asph, Cron 50, Elmarit 2.8/90, Tele-Elmar 4/135).
