Take a classically trained punk percussionist, a jazzer turned alt-rocker bassist, a Chopin loving pianist and an eccentric synth loving singer/guitarist and you get Red Beard. The band is an indie rock mishmash of post-punk, alt rock and new wave hailing from Cleveland, Ohio. The members met as freshman at the conservatory of music they all attended. Soon after, the band released their first EP in February 2008, Nebulous, with a followup to be released one year after, in Spring 2009. The band draws influences from The Killers, Pere Ubu, Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade.
