A quick disclaimer:

The sports photos posted here are not intended to be great works of art (although occasionally I get a good shot) but rather a record for players and fans. There are a lot of photos that are only meaningful to the folk in the photo. That's how I want it.

All images are © Andrew Trost. If you wish to use any of my images commercially then please contact me to discuss licencing. Just because you see an image on a website doesn't mean that it's free-for-all.

UPDATE!

If you want to put a photo of you on your Facebook page, then knock yourself out. Right-click-and-save-as until you're happy. All I ask is that you leave the "Photography by Andrew Trost" bit intact.

Equipment:

I shot my first roll of film in 1979, using a Pentax S1a and a Gossen light meter. I think I peaked as a portrait photographer in 1985. It's been downhill since then.

For the gearheads:

2 x Nikon D700
Pentax K10D
Pentax *ist DL
Pentax MZ-50
Pentax ME-Super
Pentax ME-F
Mamiya RB67 ProS (with 127/3.8 Sekor C lens)

Lots of lenses:
Pentax 50/1.4, 50/1.7, 200/2.5
Sigma 400/4.6, 600/8, 28-70/2.8
Nikkor 50/1.4G, 80-200/2.8 AF-D, 200/4s IF micro, 28/2.8 AF-D
Tamron 300/2.8 (Model 60B)

Some flashes: Pentax, Sigma, Nikon, Metz, Cactus flash triggers.

I do weddings and a lot of portraits too, but I don't put them on here for the world to see. Thank you though to those who do. There are some truly inspirational photographers on flickr.
