Greetings everyone! Welcome to my profile page. I'm going to be updating this page with some more information shortly but for now I'll put up some basic info about myself and my photography passion.

My name is Brian Hill and I'm a semi-professional photographer. I shoot mostly landscape and nature, but I'm moving into portrait and event photography. I eventually want to get into wedding photography, I just need some more experience with taking pictures of people. My journey into photography started back in 1996 when I helped a friend in high school with some dark room developing for the school's yearbook. Since then I've been working with film and digital photography, honing my skills, and learning new techniques. Officially I have 6 years of schooling in photography. I will be going to a school in Vancouver called Focal Point with courses starting in April. I will complete the courses I want to take in just over a year, and will end up with 4 certificates in various difficulties and aspects of digital photography.

I'm in the process of building a studio in my house so I can take portrait and item pictures under controlled lighting conditions. I just purchased a new professional quality camera, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, giving me an edge in the photography industry, boasting 21.1 mega-pixels, and the ability to record full 1080p high-definition video.
