In 2009 I bought a DSLR and after some faltering steps I've taught myself through books and magazines and experiments. It combines the things I like ~ being far from the crowd, experimenting and making pictures that I like and hopefully the viewer will like.

I know photography is a very popular hobby these days and I really admire the gifted amateurs who seek to improve themselves with every photograph.

I've not long come back from New Zealand and it was great to have a change in location and to do photography in the sun for a change.
