About me:

Ever since I was born, my hands have been shaking, sometimes more, sometimes less. See how it looks like:

Just believe me here, razor-sharp pictures are not really my kinda thing. Even if I had the best cameras and the best lenses, I'd never be able to make you a perfect picture. Better ask the next person in the street. So I try to get by in other ways, working to 'perfect my imperfection'.

Genre-wise I love the gray area between 'topography' and 'street', and am constantly searching for a kind of new romanticism within current social contexts.

Using a lot of point and shoot cameras from the 80s and 90s, some leaky 1970s SLRs, and a weird bit of medium format and instant cameras. I have lots of trouble getting interesting pictures from my digital cameras, but I won't stop trying.

Preparing for a Graflex Press camera

The best option is a Super Speed Graphic or a Super Graphic, due to the back drop, allowing more movements.

Lens should be 127, 105, all the way down to 90.

Film types

* fuji superia 400 x-tra for the 35mm cameras! love at first sight!

* maybe shoot slides with fuji sensia?

* Need to try the Kodak portra 400 vc or for the TLR. BEFORE IT IS SOLD OUT!!!!
(Currently kodak portra 400 nc). Flickr search makes me think that I like the 400 vc for most kind of scenes (incl portraits), 400 nc has a bid a faded thing, which is nice until you photograph a tree??? So far the 400 nc is most easy on me....

* fuji superia for the 120 too? or the 400 pro h? not sure, not sure...

Wish list, Pentax:

A katzeye viewfinder, hurray!

A cheap second hand extra body, k10D or newer.

Wish list, Polaroid 600SE:

Dark slides!

Wish list, additional stuff

* A 35mm + 6x6 Scanner. Microtek ScanMaker S480 ? No, no scratch removal. Better an epson v500.

* a horseman press! with tilt/shift front and back.

* alternatively to the horseman press: linhof technika with tilt shift back, if available

* norita graflex gear. Hard to find.

* a rittreck 6x9 slr. With filmpack back?

* A Photek Softlighter II umbrella, some flash, and a stand, for really fancy portraits.

* Dark room material for developing and a fitting room ;)

* Zoom H-1 recorder to mount on the DSLR. Needs some software to fit it nicely to film, probably too much nerving computing effort required!

* A Mamiya 48mm rangefinder with light meter and as open lens as possible. This can be one of the Ruby models with 48mm f/1.9 or a Super Deluxe with 48mm f/1.7 or an M3 with 48mm f/2.0.

* Some Fuji gear! A 617 for panoramic shots? The gigantic 680?? Maybe a brand new foldable 120 rangefinder:
Fujifilm GF670 (which is the Voigtländer Bessa III). Or a 35 mm rangefinder from Voigtländer. Because I will never be able to afford a Leica anyway.

* a large chinese panorama camera, the shenhao.

* rollei 35 irgendwelche spezifische??? half frame...

* adox golf because they look cool

* pentax 67 because it's sex

* exakta 66 because it's sleek.

* Mamiya 6 but not if I get a Bessa III :)

* bayonet 1 TLR zoom lens sets. Got that, it's crap.

* always something else .... :)
