Since I was a child I had a fascination with wolves, I was bombarded with the same stories as every one making the wolf to be some kind of monster and almost a myth.
As time went by natural bonds formed with the dogs my relatives had, as I was never allowed one. Even then still niggling at me was how an animal of such intelligence and beauty could be so evil? It was always from the distance of T.V Film and images that I was able to admire the wolf and every time I saw one I was completely under its spell.
I was never very academic at school, I was always a practical person and found my niche in photography, and as a result I went to study for 4 years. Whilst on the HND I was always asked what sector of photography I was aiming to go into. Although there are other areas of interest my first response was to photograph wolves in the wild, Canada, North America, Russia and Europe watching the difference between pack behaviors in each environment, with the future aim of having a book published.

That very ambition still stands to this day but as I have done more research on the animal and even since owning a Siberian husky, my ambition has developed and grown.

Firstly is for me to be fully educated in the wolf, its behavior, communication, social abilities, and history etc.
To an extent I can educate myself by ways of the internet and books, but I want to get as close as I can and to be taught by those who manage wolves on a daily basis.
Once the education part has taken stalk and I am comfortable, things will proceed to preservation and conservation which will hopefully involve traveling the world and photographing these magnificent creatures in the wild.
