TODAY's MUSIK....by an old musician

My big musical night
alive on the stage
audience all around
my songs were the rage

The smoke filled the air
the lights were aglare
the first note I sang
did collapse in dead air

In tremors I stood
but the show must go on
forcefully I continued
to sing the strange song

The song was as croaking
and noise to my ears
to be pummeled off stage
was one of my fears

Hands on my guitar
trembling notes off key
the sound was aghast
or was it just me

Finally to end it
the shame that must be
a performance in ruins
quickly I should flee

Applause and shouts
encores to be
strange as it seems
the crowd loved ME !
