I was born in London and live now in Swannington, NW Leicestershire, England, but the world is my home; I am a patriot of the planet, all humanity my fellow countrymen.

Robert Capa (apparently not Stefan Lorant) said "In photography it's not enough to be a genius, you also have to be Hungarian". Well my mother's family came from Hungary a long time ago, so I've got a bit of Hungarian in me somewhere. So there is hope. On the other hand I'm not a photographic genius. Ah well, there goes another fantasy.

CULTURAL CURATORS

Which is a collection of other peoples images that include a random and arbitrary element that is personal to me. Despite this I anticipate that it will be a building picture of our world and culture.

CAUGHT SNAPPING

Because I was making images of other photographers and couldn't find a group for them.

THE FULL PITCHER

For images that show a more positive view of the world and its wonder, without being banal - as a counterbalance to all the images of ruins, desolation and anomie that abound in flickr.

SUBURBANALITY

Because I got unceremoniously banned from another group on suburbanality.

THE REAL SURREAL

The surreality of reality. Places and spaces and things, or combinations of these that have a strange look and feel, as if part of another world.
