If anyone asks: I am 22, and a student for econimcal engineering. I like watching handball games. Yeah, handball, you know?

When I got my first camera I was only about seven years old. It was a very cheap and basic film camera. Naturally I didn't take it too serious with photography by this time. There was also another problem: There was always one of my fingers in pictures.
So I lost interest at first. Later on my dad bought a digital point and shoot camera, one of the first by its kind. It was huge but rare, so it attracted other people as well and it was stolen. But by this time I figured out that photography is quite a cool subject (it was about 6 years ago). So we bought another point and shoot and I used it alot.
In 2007 I was going to New Zealand for 6 months and I needed a prosumer camera and I chose the Finepix S5600 (I still bought in fall 2006). It delivered a whole lot of beautiful pictures, as partially seen here on flickr.
Then I met Dellow in New Zealand and he's got a D70 I was attracted to. Although I also had plans in my mind on how to steal the object, I decided not to, because I liked Dellow.
However, I sold my S5600 and bought a Nikon D80 in fall 2007. And still I am using it with delight :-)
-- That's how I came across photography --

Rasenkantenstein is not a real name. In fact it is a stupid name. No one would call me like this outside the internet. Translated it means lawn edging kerb stone.

This is the invisible set ;-) You can view it if you want to, but those images don't appear on my stream. If you think, that one of them is worth to appear anyway, let me know :-)

"Rasenkantenstein’s images are as compelling as they are informative. With each post he relays a story in association with the image, creating a rich narrative that adds depth, complexity, and understanding to his image making process. This is a real treat since it reveals him to be an astute student of both photography and life. Few photostreams allow this glimpse into the photographer's life and travels, so remember what a unique opportunity enjoying his photostream is."

I feel honoured that I had the chance to meet him and to spend a day with him. It was great and his way of shaping images and get the best out of the place where he is shooting is something that I envy.
Keep on doing your great work.
