I am happily married. I have been with the same wonderful redheaded woman for more than 21 years. She is my "Domesticated Executive Assistant", the center of my Universe.

I am a middle aged, slightly overweight, Newspaper Editor, Business Management Student who volunteers for Newton twp. Fire - Rescue - EMS.

I am one of those rare few who are truly gifted by GOD who can do almost anything they try to do.

I started out 15 years ago with a used Pentax K1000 35mm SLR. After a few years, I made the move to a used Nikon N90s 35mm SLR and my first of many Sigma lenses. Looking back on those days I was simply tinkering. I really had no clue of what I was doing.

When that camera died I made the jump to digital and an even bigger jump to Canon. I purchased a used Canon 10D Digital SLR. I also purchased a Sigma 24mm - 70mm f2.8 EX and a Sigma 70mm - 300mm APO Macro. Later I purchased the Sigma 70mm - 200mm f2.8 EX lens and it has become my main piece of glass. In just three short years I sold the Canon 10D body and purchased a Canon 40D...

I have no formal education in Photography. It is easiest to explain this way...

"The one eyed man is King, in a world full of blind men." I guess me and my DSLR would be king in a room full of 11 year olds and their point and shoot cameras.

2010 was a rough year, maybe 2011 will be better...
