I am a freelance writer, editor, photographer, musician, activist, and artist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Much of my work involves the inner city, as I edit a community newspaper there. Other topics of journalistic interest include literature, music, religion, and relationships. I write for a variety of local publications and websites, and maintain my own blog at sacredsocialjustice.blogspot.com.

I have been involved with Edmonton's two street newspapers to varying degrees, and am very much an activist when it comes to issues such as affordable housing and poverty.

On a global level, I am a peace and environmental activist. I am a bicycle commuter and write and perform original songs at events, as well as donating my performances as a musician and stick juggler to a variety of causes.

The purpose of these collections is to showcase what is going on in Edmonton, especially concerning the social justice and activism that takes place at a variety of marches, rallies, and actions. I also document Edmonton's many events, attractions, and festivals, and sometimes I take pictures of things simply because they are beautiful.

"Thanks so much, Paula, you have inspired me to raise my voice as well. The activism has always been kept silent inside me and through you I have learned to express it more vocally. I hope I can do more in the future for the causes."
