Hello

I’ve been interested in photography for just over a year now. I was brought a Kodak EasyShare C330 as a present as encouragement to get out and about a bit more. I found it gave me hours of pleasure and I started to notice things in this world that I’d just walked past before. Having a camera really opens your eyes.

After a while I got frustrated that I couldn’t capture the detail that I wanted to record. That’s not to say I don’t still use my Kodak; it fits in my handbag and goes everywhere with me. It’s very easy to operate and I’ve taken some nice pictures with it.

But I wanted more than the camera could give me. More zoom, more detail. I’m not ready to purchase a SLR yet; I don’t know enough about what I want from a camera – it’s just like buying a car; if you don’t know you could end up spending a lot of money for a big mistake. In the end I settled for an Olympus SP-510 UZ, which I’m still learning to operate. So many settings, so little time.

I enjoy looking at other people’s photos, not just for the enjoyment I get from seeing places and things that I wouldn’t normally get to see, but from a technical angle too. You can learn so much from the photos other people have taken.

Lastly, thank you for taking the time and trouble to comment on my photos it’s very much appreciated.

Sue
