Gary Austin is an award winning street photographer and photojournalist providing editorial images of fashion, news, lifestyle, people and social issues.
He photographs real life people on location at work, home, at play or on the streets, which has given him a keen eye and individual style and he photographs for a diverse range of clients to produce images full of drama, spontaneity and natural emotion.
Based in Derby with over 27 years experience, his photojournalism is refreshingly independent as he prefers finding his own visual stories and telling the truth as it presents itself, as opposed to producing a story to fit an editorial or political agenda.
Gary continues to do street photography and is working on a personal art project, based around the issues of a surveillance state and privacy.
