My life story - quite boring, really...

Started taking photos in 1983, in and around my home town of Harwich, Essex, UK.
My job with Trinity House from 1985 to 1992 provided several photo opportunities (ships, ships, and more ships!).

I was also sent to other places (Gt Yarmouth, Swansea, Penzance, etc) as part of my work.
In 1991 I decided to move to Gt Yarmouth (seemed like a good idea at the time). My photography became almost non-existent during the 90s, due to mortgage, relationships, debt, unemployment, other interests........
2005: The digital age re-ignited my interest in photography, when I saw that high quality photos could be viewed on a computer screen. I started by scanning negatives, then in 2006 I bought my first digital camera.

Fujica ST605N - my first SLR, 1983
Nikon EM - bought secondhand, 1983 - 1985
Nikon FG - 1984, still have this, but broken shutter
Nikon F301 - 1985 to present date. Still in use

Tokina 35-105mm
Super Paragon 24mm
Itorex fisheye adaptor (used with the 24mm)
Vivitar 28-200mm

Digital:
Nikon Coolpix E7600 - 2006 to present
Nikon D80 with 18-135mm zoom - 2008 to present
Nikon Coolpix P2 - 2009 to present

Software:
Paint Shop Pro 9 - my preferred editor, as it was the first I laid my hands on!
Photoshop CS2
Arcsoft Panorama Maker 3
Microsoft ICE

Scanner:
Epson Perfection 3490


You've probably noticed, I blatantly copy much of what I see on Flickr.......

I am a mushroom.
I'm kept in the dark and fed bullshit!
