I am a self taught photographer and artist. At a young age I developed a love for drawing and painting; however, as I grew older my abilities did not match what I saw in the world or in peoples faces. Therefore due to an increasing desire for capturing light and people’s emotions, I turned to photography. I truly believe that everyone is beautiful and eagerly pursue the chance to show just that.

Previous photo work has included family shoots, couples, seniors, children and the elderly. My product photography has been used by the “Multiple Sclerosis Association of America” in fund raising campaigns; I have received Honorable Mention from the International Photography Awards for two still life images and in 2010 had the honor of a still life photo gracing the cover of “When The Bough Breaks”, published in Australia. Lastly some of my landscape and still life photos can currently be found, for sale, as stock photography with Getty Image.

My current ambition is to recreate still life images that capture the lighting, atmosphere and emotive quality of old master paintings, like those done by Caravaggio, or by great photographers like Joseph Sudek.

In my spare time I enjoy visiting the beautiful parks and towns around Door County, where I am based. I also take the opportunity to volunteer my time in public work, and widen my horizons by traveling.
