I am a graduate student in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Virginia. My job allows me to travel the world for research purposes (observing runs, meeting with collaborators and academic conferences). I obviously have a fondness for my mutley dog Jack, my plants and the people around me. I shoot with a medley of cameras, both film and digital, and hope to add to my family with more toys as time goes on.

I am also scanning my family's old slides from the mid 20th century -- some on film not yet patented! -- and so my photostream tends to the random side of life.

I also volunteer for the Cavalier Marching Band at the University of Virginia taking photos from the field. This means I watch games from the sideline if I'm not exhausted from sprinting around during the performances!
