I have started Photography as a hobby and slowly it is growing on me. Photography is really wonderful as each picture I took reminds me the the place, the people, the joy, the pain and takes me back to that exact moment like a Time Machine.

What else i can say about me, i am working in Information Technology and i love the tech very much, whether it is a new gadget, software or an idea. But i usually i get bored with things pretty fast, but only one thing i have never got bored of. That is Photography. I am becoming more addictive as i go.

Flickr is like a school where you can meet new people, learn new things and enhance your skills. I absolutely love my presence here. I think i spend most of my free time exploring the Photographs and Photographers here on Flickr. I have learned so many things here and feel that there is a lot to explore.

I tend to add some of you as contacts. Either i am curious about your progress or your work is inspring. You are not obligated to add me as a contact or comment on my photographs because of that. Even though i feel happy when i see people appreciating my work, i will be much more happy when they provide constructive feedback.

If you want to be a successful photographer then you need patience. Lots and Lots of Patience. Be open to criticism, experiment, take advice, see things differently (everybody got only 24 hours a day and the same boring places and people), do whatever it takes to get the best out of you. At least that's what i have learned so far.

Only regret i have is that i haven't traveled or photographed India well. I am proud to strike it out. I think i am fulfilling my dream now :-)

My current equipment:
------------------------------
Canon EOS 40D - I absolutely love this camera. It's a no toy camera. XT/XS/T1 guys don't get offended :-)
Sigma 10-20mm - I recommend this lens to everybody who like to take photographs with some cool compositions.
Sigma 18-200mm - My general purpose lens. Not bad for the price i have paid.
Canon 50mm f/1.8 - It's really cheap (not the quality of photographs)
Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Di - What to say ? Good for exploring the new world (Macro)

Happy Clicking,
Amar

    Arun Sundar says:

"Amar is one person who tries to give 110% commitment to whatever he does. He is more a pioneer in my perception, because he graduated himself to a DSRL, when most of his friends (including your truly!) were dawdling with Point and Shoots. He is definitely a go-getter. His recent passion is HDR photography and he says he wants one of his photographs to be featured in Flickr Explore! Hmmm, knowing him I'm sure the day isn't too far! Great going Amar!"
