I'm Emilie. QuintanaRoo is the name of my beloved brat cat who I lost on February 22, 2005 when she experienced sudden heart failure. I still miss her everyday.

I mostly take pictures of my food (read: cake).

I (used to) blog at the The Conscious Kitchen. I teach cooking and baking in the Boston area and you should come to a class.

If my bike had a bumper sticker instead of reflective octopi, it would read, "I brake for ethically produced chocolate." If I could live anywhere it'd probably be South East Asia, though I'd miss the days in New England when it's just snowed and no one's yet disturbed it. I have uncommon fondness for pigmy goats, hairless cats, figs, eggplant, camp fires, silicon mixing spoons, grocery shopping and homemade anisette in espresso.
