Does hammering a nail into the wall make me a carpenter? Does taking pictures with a camera make me a photographer?

I do not enjoy hammering nails into walls so I am certainly not a carpenter. Never will be.

I do enjoy capturing moments with my camera. I do view where ever I am as a potential photo. I do want to learn more and grow and to one day look at the shots of the past as ascending rungs on a ladder. Sheesh, sounds like photographer vows.

Mostly though, I enjoy processing the pixels of one photo until it becomes it's own reality with little association to the original.

The iphone apps store provides an amazing array of tools to process photos. Many a photo here was processed through the iphone. Sometime they are sooc, but more likely I processed through at least one photography application.

My comments are generally not technical reviews of the shot as that's not my mode of communication. Rather, my comments are more a gut reaction to an emotional impulse.
