Hi there,

I think anyone can take a photograph, but what makes a great photograph? Is it beauty? Is it the colors? Is it a story that it tells? Is it the feeling or reaction in a person that the photo provokes? Is it the perspective of the viewer or the object photographed? Is it a new technique used by the photographer? What is an artistic photograph? What is beauty to you?

I do hope you will enjoy viewing a sample collection of my photographs. These have been taken over the years, and some of them were not taken with a digital camera and so the quality wasn't great. I recently purchased the Canon EOS Rebel XT Digital SLR, after my first 35mm Canon Rebel 2000, and have been hooked! No guilt in the expense of film processing! I continue to experiment with "seeing" things in different ways, sometimes ideas can be wacky, sometimes it works sometimes it would be "what the...?". I've been slowly mastering the creative mode of manual exposures.

Since I was a child, I have had a very strong interest in the art and design, nature, and architecture. Given the opportunity, I would attempt each medium once. Sculpture and photography have become my favorites. I am not an artist, or aspire to be one, and I am not making a living from my art, but it gives me inspiration for my work.

As for art, be it photography, painting, sculpture, dance, music, without an audience, it would be a selfish form of personal expression. Technology and the internet, especially Flickr, have changed the way photographs are viewed. Comments, opinions, and ideas can be shared much more easily and faster.

I would be glad if you'd leave comments, notes, or suggestions. Positive criticism is always appreciated.

If you would like to use any of the photos, please feel free to email me.

Thanks again for stopping by!
