MISSION STATEMENT
There is a somewhat material permanence about the creative process. When you create/document something, you date and time it and thus put it in its own historical place be it personal or on the public timeline.
Modern life presents the human animal with many struggles, burdens, and stresses. People seem to possess an innate desire to escape the daily humdrum and the very ordinary events that embrace them. Stephen Sandoval employs painting, digital photography, mixed media, fax and mobile art to capture the extraordinary, comedic, and celebratory events that can be found in the everyday.

Temporary bliss is what the world seeks so fervidly.
A curious glance. A quick look directly in eye.
A look toward earth. Amazement at sky above.
I dream and sometimes I record my dreams.
That damned lens follows me where I go.
The unexamined life (it has been said) is not worth living.
Did the unrecorded, undocumented life ever really happen?
The documented life is immortality achieved.
Stephen Sandoval,
New York City

"Stephen's art encompasses more than photography but it is here that we get to enjoy his wide-ranging views of NYC, his fine architecture images and beautiful compositions of sculptural works, among his many specialties. Creativity at work!"

"Stephen/PursueBliss has a great creative mind - be it about photography, painting, film, music, architecture. I love talking to him about art, and seeing the world through his (photographic) eyes. I've gone on many a flickr walk with him - he quietly captures things the rest of us don't see."

Tomitheos says:
"Stephen Sandoval is just as artistically intelligent as he is talented.
On flickr, Stephen has a keen eye for framing perspective and Stephen's photography also has something in common with his art:
Stephen's photos, well written words and art pieces have an emotional impact on the viewer that reminds us that it is the journey, not the destination, that impacts our lives.
I am very grateful to have Stephen as a friend and am always eager to view Stephen’s new images every time he posts them.
I wish Stephen (a.k.a. 'PursueBliss' ) the best of luck with his growth in art, photography and in his life endeavors."26th December, 2007
