VWC Photography | Val's photostream  

I'm a work from home photographer whose passion is my children and my work. I'm slowly evolving into a photographer I didn't think I could be. After 6 years, I feel like I can say that my hard work is paying off. I love what I do, both as a mother and a photographer. (There's nothing more rewarding than either job, and really, neither are "jobs" to me at all.) I wouldn't change a thing about where my life has taken me. I thank God for every step of it.

Things about Val:

~ I'm left-handed, so is my hubby, but my kids are both right-handed (strange, yes?)
~ I grew up on a farm, and I miss it immensely
~ My background is graphic design; I am self-taught in photography
~ I hate talking on the phone
~ I am quiet and introverted
~ but I love shooting weddings (crazy, I know)
~ I love to garden; I use to be a florist
~ my favorite flowers are bachelor buttons and poppies
~ I am a procrastinator (to the 10th power)
~ I love macs (even though they don't love me - I am on my 4th in 7 years!)
~ I like to collect vintage items
~ I love history - reading about it, collecting it, photographing it
~ I am married to my high school sweetheart (we met in grade school)
~ I love to travel; Rio de Janeiro has been my favorite city thus far. I want to go back, but you'd have to sedate me on the 11 hour flight.
~ I yearn for a studio out of my home, or in my home. Just a studio would be really nice. I will get it, I'm determined.
~ I can't go a morning without coffee
~ Folk music is my favorite
~ I love cereal and I love ketchup, but not together
~ I am a farm girl at heart but am in love with city life
~ just this year I designed my first billboard and have had a published article of my photos (HUGE accomplishments!)
~ i like to get my hands dirty and dig for worms with my kids
~ life is too short not to
~ always remember to make the most of all moments, no matter how insignificant they seem, because it's those moments that you will remember; especially the moments your children will remember

I hate to add this in but I'm going to have to. If you do not have a photostream that I can view or you have very little photos in your stream I WILL BLOCK YOU. My photos are not on here for people to do sick-o things with. Enough said.
