The Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race is an event for stock muscle cars that have few modifications, like when they rolled off the assembly line. This two-day race is held in September at Mid-Michigan Motorplex, a beautiful drag strip near Stanton, Michigan.

On the first day, drivers have nearly unlimited track time to test and tune their cars. They run two qualifying time trials, which are used to pair the drivers. The pairs race in a best-of-three mini shootout the next day, creating many close races.
