Barrybar says:
"PteGonzola is Don Ball Carbajal, a man who invites you into his world through his pictures, to spend time with his family and dance at the wedding of his beautiful cousin, Rosa. You get to meet his parents and his friends. And you get to see the man himself.
A son of Peru, Don takes a giant step beyond his photos to offer you insights into his beloved South America. Whether or not you plan to visit South America, you owe it to yourself to visit his blog, South American Journal, at sajournal.blogspo..., where he serves as your guide through several Latin American countries many, to see the sites and learn about the different cultures.
His love for Peru in particular, for South America and Latin America, in general, comes through loud and clear as he takes you to places that many of us couldn’t visit, like the train trip from Peru’s capital city, Lima, to the highest train station in the world, where you may leave your American Express card at home, but you’d be better off taking oxygen with you on that daunting trip.
I admire Don and the effort he places on his photos and his blog. He has visited my photostream very often, leaving insightful comments that serve to educate me and visitors about Peru’s history and culture. I enjoy and appreciate what he does in his blog to the extent that I have made all my Peruvian pictures available to him. I’ve also offered to take whatever pictures that he may need to continue producing the fine blog, well illustrated and well narrated. After all, I consider it my price of admission to the treasure he offers."22nd May, 2005
