Psycho Crow's photostream
|

Jack of all trades, master of none as they say. Happy go lucky with a serious streak (occasionally). Generous to a "t" but will not be taken for granted.
I'm enjoying the ride through the flickr universe, so many different takes on similar subjects. Photography is a hobby to me, but is quickly becoming a way of life.
I hope you enjoy my photos, please feel free to drop by any time and leave nice comments or constructive criticism.

I recently joined in with a collaborative blog regarding Nottingham and things happening there, see it here. Also check out my better half Electric Barberella for photos she has taken. :o)
If you want to talk to me in real time, see if I am online in my Photophlow room.
Please Note: I have no desire to be invited to any more groups, so please do not do so.

"If I was to choose a gallery to wonder around, this would be the one I would choose...and revist."

"Rick manages to combine modesty with a sharp photographers eye, terrific technical expertise, and a flow of creativity that never disappoints. He has supported and encouraged me and offered positive criticism in a constantly helpful flow. A man to watch, just look at how he is tackling portraits

"Why write a testimonial about rick?
Should i write it because its polite and the thing to do? Or should i write it because he works so hard at maintaining the Nottingham Flickr group? Maybe i should mention his zest for photography? Or perhaps his outstanding shots of people and everyday life? Maybe i should just thank him along with janette for setting me up with someone?
No, i really cant think of why i should write this, except to say that meeting Rick has certainly changed my life, and changed it for the better.

"Rick - what to say about Rick? He's become a really good friend of mine over the past few months and I really value his opinion as a friend and as a photographer.
He has quite the cutting sense of humour and is a very honest and open man who always can make me laugh.
I love the honesty of him and his photos - a truely lovely man."14th May, 2006

Cherry Moon says:
"I view Rick's work like lovely postcards from the other side of the world... If anyone can create a personal diary through their photo streams, Rick would be that person because you can "read" him like an open book just by viewing his work.
Rick is a fun guy with a wonderful personality to boot ;) He's really the first person to have made me feel so welcome here on Flickr, and I consider him to be a dear friend.
Besides.. he caught the moon. He did! Go see it!"13th May, 2006

frenchyphil says:
"A gentle man, a genial man, a man with a great sense of fun and life and who takes superb pictures full of verve and insight. A real visual poet. Lovely to have your friendship Rick and to think a year ago I had never even heard of flickr. One of its greatest pleasures is in enabling folk to get to know people all over the world through their images. Even better is get to know that person and their loved one over a pint or three of ale."

art ascii(paul) says:
"Rick has deep rich tones in his voice. His resounding laugh always brings a smile. And here on flickr we find that these physical manifestations and fine attributes emanate through the fine photography we see in his stream. Rick delves into the fine detail of his locale and then draws back for us to see his splendiforously captured environs.
Shine on, burn bright from budgie to bird, christmas tree to sunset, from berry mouthed flickr mates to Goose Fair. Thrill us - we are enjoying the ride."17th December, 2005

"Psycho Crow and I have just met because he joined my group on Flickr but what I have found is that we have something in common. We both take photographs of "real life". I have always felt these were the best types of photo's. Rick has a very good eye for subject matter and I will continue to watch as he evolves."

CinnabarTears says:
"What a great guy. Full of heart, and it shows in his pictures. Rick is a terrific person, and his love for photography can make even the most common-place subject matter into a beautiful photograph. He's a person I'm glad to have had the pleasure of meeting, and I'll continue to make it a daily habit to check his page for new and interesting developments. Good stuff, Rick. Thanks for putting it out there. ; )"

Natman says:
"Psycho Crow, aka Rick, is a genuine Flickr enthusiast and, ever since I introduced him to Flickr he's been picking up tips & techniques quicker than you can say "Great photo - a fave!" In other words, someone who's absorbed a lot of knowledge and inspiration from around flickr, as well as doing his own research. His photos show the rewards for his efforts - check out his Historic Pub Trail set as a good example."
