Originally lived in Canberra (Australia) for over 20 years, but a combination of the drought, fires and the Howard Government was plenty enough to tempt me to live in paradise, aka, New Zealand.

Lived in Wellington for 3 years before moving to near Queenstown in the South Island, New Zealand.

The two main cameras I use are a Canon G9 (previously used a G3 for 6 years), which is great for carrying around with me and a Canon 300D which I bought after finally retiring my Canon EOS-50 and going 100% digital.

I tend to carry my G9 around with me most of the time as it is small and very handy for most situations. I really like the creative things you can do with it, that can't be done with a SLR.

I tend to use the 300D when I go out with a specific photographic purpose in mind. .

"Peter was I think the first NZer I came across when I first loaded up Flickr - his fine images of the South Island are amongst the best you'll find. It's always fantastic to see Peter's latest uploads of his home patch - Arrowtown and Queenstown - one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The scale and grandeur of the area is readily apparent in Peter's images. Keep ‘em coming!"

"Peter has a great eye for detail which is essential in any good photographer but at which he excels. His abstract work is an instant testimony to his perceptiveness. Strong use of primary colour is also an appealing feature and I can definitely see a maturity emerging from constant practice. It is worth spending some time here looking at life from a different angle."
