"the hardest thing to do is to find the correct words explaining what kind of magic is going on here. there are maybe two or three truly distinctive photographers—that i know of—on flickr, and orle is undoubtedly one of them.

"orle's work is intimate. The pictures create environments where i would like to inhabit. The letterbox compositions are cinematic. The female subjects are expressive and open. The artworks often resist artificial light, except where its employed to create close spaces. I may never encounter the world's created in orle's photographs, except vicariously, but orle's photographs give 'vicarious' a good name."
