Project COLORS International was founded by Sunyata Choyce of Nova Scotia, Canada and Anke Bushing of Germany in 2004. These two young women started off as international volunteers working with AIDS Orphans in South Africa. Through their own initiative, a project plan was created to help the children of the orphanage. Through an amazing show of international support for their ideas and project plans, they created Project COLORS International. This gave them the resources they needed to assist the children through the collection of scholastic and basic medical supplies, care packages, a multi-activity room and day trips. After this successful project COLORS expanded its aid projects to include a Nova Scotia based international distribution program where supplies have been going to projects in need all over the world. Assistance and new project developments have also been taking place in the Dominican Republic!
