I'm under no illusions that I am a great photographer but i will say that after wanting to try it "properly" for years, I am having a great time.

I've been shooting for just over 2 years give or take (jan 08 to jan 10) and have learned many things. One being that this can be an expensive hobby :-). Started with a D80 which was originally going to be a Panasonic fz80 P&S then maybe a fujifilm 9500, then possibly a Cannon 400d, then definitely a D40x and finally the D80. Madness really.

I'm now shoting with a D300 which i probably shouldn't have on a technical level but the chance came up to get one and who am I to turn it down :-).

I came to flickr from a photoblog community because i was sick and tired of the unbelievable back slapping that was going on in re: commenting. Rest assured if I comment on a picture it is because i think it is great and I do not expect a comment back in return. By all means just look.

There are some really stunning photographers in the groups that I post in and it is my long term goal to reach the same level of excellence.
