For a long time photography was just a hobby for me. I had film cameras growing up, but I didn't alway have the money to buy loads of film. I love digital photography! Ever since I bought my first point and shoot digital camera in high school photography has been a joy for me.

My husband and I bought our first digital SLR camera (Canon 40D) while we were still dating in college. We lived 100 miles away because we attended different colleges so we would share it.

I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2008 with a degree in secondary education, but there aren't any teaching jobs in Michigan for me right now (20% unemployment rate for teachers in Michigan . . . could be higher now).

I decided to start my photography business in July 2008 after receiving much positive feedback on the senior photos I took of my brother and sister-in-law. I got three more senior and a band after I created my website, and I am hoping for more contracts this spring and summer. I really enjoy photography and I hope it shows in my work. I am located in the Ann Arbor area, but my family lives in Kalamazoo. I do most of my shoots in Kalamazoo right now because I grew up there and I know so many people. I am hoping to get to know some people in Ann Arbor and get my business going here.
