Prashant Menon's photostream

This is the new photostream for Prashant maxsteel for his new Canon Powershot SX110IS camera pics and Canon EOS 550D.

I am a Chemical Engineer with deep interest in photography but karma wise in Siebel SRM industry.
My first contact with photography was through my father's Film camera - some Minolta camera. During the Engineering years, my real tryst with photography began.

My first Digital Camera was Sony Cybershot W80(auto focus-auto exposure) which worked day and night for more than a year before someone stole it from me.

Now I am using Canon Powershot SX110IS camera- a bridge camera between digital compact and the dSLRs. Now I begin to understand the subtle details the camera works upon in an af-ae camera to give a picture perfect shot. I am presently on a learning curve over Exposure,aperture,DOF,Shutter,ISO,reciprocity, etc.

Some day I wish to own a DSLR but first I must quickly understand and make the best of my present one (SX110IS).

So finally i own a DSLR : Canon EOS 550D and 2 Lenses.
Canon EF-S 18-55 mm IS Lens
Canon EF 50 mm F1.8 MK-II Prime Lens

So presently experimenting with Lenses and camera :-)
