I live in Fargo, North Dakota, where some people (mostly the older folks) really do talk like characters in the movie "Fargo."

Married, two kids, live in a 110-yr-old house with a spankin' new basement (see "the basement sequence" set!). I love to record what I see around me, especially with light and pattern.

And on that last thought, a seasonal reflection from Ms. Dickinson:

"There's a certain Slant of light,
Winter Afternoons--
That oppresses, like the Heft
Of Cathedral Tunes--

"Heavenly Hurt, it gives us--
We can find no scar,
But internal difference,
Where the Meanings, are--
******
"When it comes, the Landscape listens--
Shadows--hold their breath--
When it goes, 'tis like the Distance
On the look of Death--"

(ca. 1861)
