Laura Jones, a former resident of the Washington, D.C. area, now lives in Toronto, Canada. She is a professor of English at George Brown College and a writer/contributing editor of Canadian Health magazine published by the Canadian Medical Association.
For 13 years, Laura Jones was the director of the Baldwin St. Gallery of Photography in Toronto. A selection of her photographs is in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada.
Laura Jones’ photographs of the Martin Luther King Jr. inspired Poor People’s Campaign, 1968 were on display at the Sumner Museum in Washington, D. C. She is now preparing an exhibition for public hearings about poverty which will take place in Lambert Mississippi.
