Well, my dad was into photography since he was younger, and by the time I was growing up we had a darkroom in the basement so I started to get into it as well. Ideally, I'd love to take a REAL class on photography... but it seems the only classes I can find are for full two-year courses. So I guess I'll just have to learn from all of you!
