A Pom living in Oz (that translates into an Englishman living in Australia), life revolves around Manchester City FC and the Newcastle Knights. Oh yeah got to go to work when I have to and take the odd photo here and there.

In my photostream you will find Pelicans, the sun, Australian Wildlife, Pelicans, the gorgeous Lake Macquarie, Pelicans, the wonderful Pacific coastline which is minutes from my doorstep and maybe more Pelicans. Love having a go at sports photography and I am trying to improve my portrait shots.

I love to see that some one has taken the time to write their thoughts on my efforts, and it is most appreciated. To me Flickr is about enjoying sharing photos, encouragement, laughter and friendship, not collecting awards and desperately seeking to get on Explore.

If you want an electronic copy of any of my shots, drop me a line. No charge, just not for commercial purposes.

"Never trust a man who, when left alone in a room with a tea cozy, doesn't try it on" Billy Connolly

I shoot with a Canon 40D and always have my trusty Kodak Z710 with me as backup.

I don't want to be a professional photographer

"If you ever need cheering up this is the place to be. Poms shots are as inspirational as the scenery he has around him. Huge talent and bundles of humour. Yay Pom :)"

    Pete Gray 1 says:

"I have yet to meet Pominoz other than on-line but he strikes me as being a thoroughly good chap with a keen sense of fun and a great eye for pelicans. He manages teams of idiots well to get the job done on time and to budget. Therefore I have no hesitation in recommending him for promotion.

Keep taking the time you do on Flickr - it makes the world a happier place for a lot of people."

"What can you say about the man who can post the most photos in the most number of group, except that I never once get sick of seeing any of Pom’s photos there always fantastic, funny or just plain beautiful. Looking forward to seeing thousands more photos in the future.

"I don't really know Pom but I like his photos and I love his sense of humour, his sense of the ridiculous even. Actually I think he's a nut but that's fine because most of us are. Keep up the good work mate!"

    Father McKenzie says:

"How to describe Pom? Down to earth with a great eye for a great shot. A lot of people on Flickr make out they are better than others, Pom is the opposite, he goes out takes photos of what he likes to look at and posts it always with outstanding results. Another one I have watched grow from taking just your everyday shots to now taking shots that you look forward to viewing his pool to see what he has taken that day. And if he gets your mobile number you will get a random text "I am in the area lets take some shots" All in all a great bloke."
