24 trips around that glowing dot so far, hoping for many more. I just found photography 6 months ago and it has been a wild 6 months. I have no training beyond a 2 week photography section in a class in highschool. I started on a finepix S5200 and recently upgraded to an EOS 30d. In 6 months I've easily shot photos at least half of those days. I've finally found something that speaks to me.

If photography is a disease, I have a terminal case. I've been caught sleeping with my camera on occasion. Passed out on the couch spooning it like a lifelong love.

My camera (affectionately named "The 30-Delish" ) is my child it comes with me wherever I go, it teaches me about myself and the world around me. My camera is my connection. A rare chance to show the eyes and minds of the world what spins through my racing head.

I'm addicted to abandonments, bands, models and attempting (and often failing, but hey that's what art and learning is about right?) to convey the raw essence of human emotion and existence by capturing those candid moments.

I'm a firm believer in the essence of balance. That much like a B&W life is made up of opposites and seeking balance between the two poles is what life is all about. You can't bask in the beauty of the sunrise without first experiencing the darkness of the night.

Embrace Duality, Seek Balance.
